Largest jewelry store owner in US buys subscription jewelry site

Signet, who owns Kay, Jared, and Zales amongst other jewelry store chains, is looking to expand it's customer base.


According to the article, Signet derives about half it's revenue from bridal jewelry.

"Signet’s customers skew older and male. Rocksbox’s customers tend to be younger, professional women who rent jewelry for themselves, much as they would a dress or handbag."


Signet bought jewelry etailer JamesAllen.com for $328M in 2017.
